Languedoc Solidarity with Refugees
LSR is an association which helps refugees in need both locally and further afield. It is based in Pezenas with supporters throughout Languedoc and beyond.
LSR was founded in September 2015 and already has hundreds of members, supporters and active Facebook friends who together have raised thousands of euros and helped refugees, families and individuals in many different ways. We are a voluntary organization with no paid staff or office, so all money raised goes directly towards our many projects with refugees.
How you can help
CONTRIBUTING STUFF
LSR is continually identifying needs for a wide range of goods ranging from nappies, baby formula and groceries for local refugee families, to medical supplies, clothes and food for containers bound for Syria.
More InfoCONTRIBUTING MONEY
Along with contributions of time and materials, we do sometimes rely on donations to help towards the critical needs of families both here and elsewhere in Europe.
More InfoCONTRIBUTING TIME
We are a small core group of about 10 people working in a non-hierachical environment, we welcome volunteers who can contribute their time helping with anything from translation to fundraising.

AND IF IT WERE YOU?
This book tells the true story of one family's journey from their destroyed home in Syria to their new life in France. Help friends who see refugees as a threat to understand that refugees are real people with names, faces, children and big, big problems.
More InfoUrgent Needs
From time to time we put a call out for volunteers, contributions, or donations for a specific project that we are working on such as medical supplies for a container going to Syria or donations for tents and sleeping bags for refugees living under a bridge in Paris.
If you want to get involved on an adhoc basis check this section regularly to find out what our urgent needs are.
